curved timber frame city learning centre   City Learning Centre, Waltham Forest This innovative 16-room Learning Centre for Waltham Forest, included a circular Technology Suite. The first of its kind in the UK, and integral to the 'Excellence in Cities' Schools project, the City Learning Centre included complex curves, exposed timber structure and integrated irregular conical 'turrets'.

On carrying out a cost analysis and comparison between traditional and timber construction, the saving in using timber appears to be in the region of £2,700.
